As pet owners ourselves we understand the importance of being with your dog at all times and it's definitely a ‘Dogs Life’ at Beech Hill House so there’s no excuse to holiday on your own.

Our bed and breakfast accommodation is totally dog friendly providing a bed, throw, towel, water bowl and chew as a welcome along with spacious rooms to relax in. 8 minutes from J36 of the M6 motorway and just off the A590 at Witherslack we are in an unspoilt corner of the Lake District National Park.

Our three rooms are spacious, en-suite, have king-size beds and are designed with your and your dog’s comfort in mind. Two are doubles with one having a private balcony with table and chairs and steps leading to a private part of the garden and access to the drive while the third has an additional single bed (and folding zed-bed if needed) making it a double, twin or family room.

There are walks from the front door, a dog friendly village pub 50 yards along the road and with being in the South Lakes it is a fabulous dog friendly place to holiday because there is the entire Lake District and South Lakes Furness Peninsulas to explore and even the Yorkshire Dales and North Lancashire with all their associated walks, attractions, mountains, hills, fells, water falls and beaches.

The Boot Inn is a traditional 9 bedroom Lakeland Inn with traditional bar and log fire, beamed restaurant, spacious conservatory, games room and drying/boot room.  Outside there is a beer garden, play area for children and kitchen garden.

Well behaved dogs are most welcome to come and stay with you here or at our cottage in the village.

Well Cottage (sleeping 5) is a lovely 17th Century stone cottage, with an English Tourist Board rating of 4 stars.

Situated in the village of Gosforth, between the mountains and the Irish Sea, it is a perfect base to explore the Western Lake District.

Inside, the sitting room has a southern aspect and a door to the patio and garden.

The kitchen has a cooker with gas hob and electric oven, a microwave, a fridge/freezer and a washer/dryer.

There is also a single bedroom downstairs and a bathroom.

On the first floor there is a double with ensuite shower room and a twin which also has a washbasin and toilet.

Outside is a garden with views towards the coast.

Located in the peaceful Duddon Valley, Spring Bank is surrounded by beautiful mature gardens and offers a high standard of self-catering accommodation for ten people.

This is a truly lovely area with some of the finest fell walking in the Lake District.  The Duddon Valley inspired many of the writings of William Wordsworth and is one of the hidden gems of the Lake District, far from the bustling crowds.  Here you can truly relax and appreciate the slower pace of life coupled with wonderful scenery.

Spring Bank is only a mile from the historic market town of Broughton-in-Furness which has excellent amenities including restaurants, butcher, baker, grocery shop and post office, you will also find some fantastic pubs!
