Five comfortable stone-built cottages, tastefully furnished, overlooking open countryside in one of Cornwall’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
We are perfectly located to explore the magnificent Cornish coastline with its coves and breathtaking views. Just two miles away is the ancient fishing village of Looe and the smugglers fishing village of Polperro. Talehay Cottages are 20 mins from major attractions. These include the Eden Project; many National Trust attractions including Lanhydrock, Cotehele, Mount Edgecombe; as well as other attractions like Lost Gardens of Heligan.
Sailing, fishing, diving, golf, and riding are all available nearby. Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor are just a short drive away for walkers and hikers. The nearby SW coastal paths offer wonderful views.
Cottages are ETC 4* set in a courtyard with gardens. We have a 3-acre field for your dogs to run around. Beamed ceilings, wood burners, bath/shower/WC, fully equipped kitchen, TV/Video/DVD/CD, and WIFI is available in all cottages.
Local kennels provide day-kennelling should you wish to visit an attraction that is unsuitable for dogs

Area Details
Looe is a coastal town in south east Cornwall, England with the second largest fishing port in Cornwall. The town is 20 miles from Plymouth, 7 miles from Liskeard, and 5 miles from Polperro.
The town is divided in two by the River Looe and is connected by a seven arched 19th century bridge. There is also a river taxi between East and West Looe.
East Looe and West Looe offer visitors different but equally charming experiences. On the East, the narrow cobbled streets and twisting alleyways give it a traditional and quaint feel, while the abundance of tourist shops provides plenty of opportunities for browsing and souvenir shopping.
On the other hand, the West side offers a different kind of charm, with its lovely outlook across the harbour. Visitors can enjoy picturesque views of the water and the boats, which create a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. It’s a great place to sit and take in the scenery or to enjoy a meal or drink at one of the many restaurants or cafes in the area.
Together, they offer a delightful mix of old-world charm, natural beauty, and modern conveniences. Visitors to the area can experience both sides of this charming town, exploring the winding streets and taking in the views from the harbour.
Looe’s sandy beach adjoins Banjo pier and is very popular with families with its shallow waters and vast expanse of sand. As Looe is on the South West Coast Path, there are routes to Polperro in the west and Seaton in the east which have stunning views.
