This is a perfect base for a romantic break for couples who wish to explore the Welsh border countryside of Monmouthshire and Herefordshire. Accessed through its own garden, The Lodge is set on the ground floor and has one double bedroom with an en-suite shower room. The open-plan living area leads out onto a courtyard-style garden and patio. From here you can look across to the instantly recognisable peak of Skirrid Mountain. A perfect view to enjoy whilst planning your day ahead over a morning cup of tea.
The Offa’s Dyke Path offers fabulous walks from The Lodge doorstep. This can be extended to the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains with just a short drive. Fishing can also be arranged on the owner’s private stretch of the River Honddu, which runs through Pandy.
The village boasts two pubs, so after a day exploring the area, you can unwind and enjoy the local village life. Pay a visit to the bustling market town of Abergavenny, known as the Gateway to Wales. How about a trip over The Blorenge to the World Heritage Centre of The Big Pit National Coal Museum, a tribute to the industrial heritage of South Wales?
