Dog Friendly Gloucestershire
Gloucestershire has three areas – Royal Forest of Dean, Severn Vale and The Cotswolds. The Forest of Dean covers 27,000 acres of woodland which has many fabulous pet-friendly walks. Feeling adventurous? There is always Offa’s Dyke Path that starts in Sedbury. The Severn Vale contains the largest towns – Gloucester, Cheltenham and Tewkesbury. All three provide ample shopping opportunities as well as viewing the wildlife along the Severn Estuary. The Cotswolds region of Gloucestershire is steeped in history, with churches and manor houses dating back to medieval times. You and your dog can have a wonderful time exploring what Gloucestershire has to offer.
Dog Friendly Wiltshire
Wiltshire is bordered by six other counties, with 40% of the county classed as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Salisbury Plain is home to Stonehenge and Avebury Stone Circles and many other ancient landmarks. Mostly a rural county, most of it lies on chalk with horses carved into the landscape. These include Pewsey, Devizes and Marlborough.
