Your Dogs Are Welcome at Hound and Human Holidays
Muddy paws are not a problem in this recently renovated cottage! Brick floors run throughout the open plan kitchen and dining hall, with quarry tiles in the library and solid wood flooring everywhere else. All soft furnishings are leather or fully washable fabric. You can wipe walls clean with a damp cloth if you have a mud splatter moment. Your dogs are as welcome as you are in all indoor living and bedroom spaces.
Canine amenities and supplies are provided as standard at Hound and Human Holidays. These include beds, bath, treats, bowls, towels, holiday dog tags, poo bags and even tennis balls. Your whole pack can relax and enjoy your holiday.
The cottage has two separate outdoor gardens. A large hedged lawn at the front and a fully fenced private space that includes patio, deck and grassed area at the back. Beyond the full-height gates are an infinite number of rural adventures that will delight your dogs. On your return, the enormous and remarkable dog bath with hot and cold mixer tap makes the canine cleaning experience altogether more enjoyable for both Hound and Human.

Accommodation at Hound and Human Holidays
Renovated with a love of the outdoors (and muddy paws) in mind, this old cottage has a shoe, coat and boot area by the front door. Oiled brick floors run throughout the open plan kitchen and dining hall, with quarry tiles in the library and solid wood flooring everywhere else.
Two sets of double doors open onto the patio dining area at the back of the cottage. Within this private well-fenced space is a small lawn, a deck with gas BBQ (summer only) and a seating area. Through a side gate is another enclosed lawned area surrounded by hedging with bench seating. Enough outdoor space to enjoy warm summer evenings and the vast dark starry skies.
The lounge and library share a double-sided wood burner so there is ample room beside or around the fire. Be advised though that many a tired dog has quickly claimed and refused to relinquish the best spot. There are two sofas, leather beanbags, a desk, board games, puzzles, playing cards, a smart TV (60Mb/s speed for streaming) and books to read.
Upstairs are three double bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master ensuite has a large double ended bath. A perfect place to enjoy a hot soak by candlelight after a long day in the great outdoors before falling into the luxurious super king bed. Bedding and towels are provided.
Hound and Human Holidays is an old cottage and there are many steps (including all entrances to the property), raised door thresholds, restricted headroom and the ground/floors are uneven in places. The property is not suitable for children aged 11 or under. Older children or adults with mobility difficulties should read the descriptions carefully and consider that all bedrooms are upstairs.
Explore
The village of Redgrave is thriving and boasts many local amenities. These include a community-owned village shop and pub serving good food, a bakery, a microbrewery that has a bar, garden and an open-air theatre.
With no fewer than six nature reserves within a five-mile radius of the cottage, there is unrivalled opportunity to observe wild ponies, deer, birds and other wildlife in natural settings.
Beaches
Norfolk and Suffolk together have over 150 miles of coastline – and many of the beaches are dog friendly. Consider a trip to see the seals – the pups at Horsey between November and February are a winter delight.
