Juniper Cottage sleeps 4 and has been converted to a high standard, providing all the necessary facilities. It has been thoughtfully designed with muddy paws in mind, featuring tiled floors downstairs and a convenient stair gate that can be closed. The cost of the stay includes full gas central heating, ensuring a comfortable environment throughout your visit.
For entertainment, there is a television/DVD player, as well as a selection of board games, books, and jigsaw puzzles to enjoy on rainy days. The comfortable beds and walk-in shower offer a relaxing retreat after long dog walks. The fully-fitted kitchen, complete with a breakfast area, provides a delightful space for meal preparation. Additionally, there is a charming sun-trap area where you can enjoy meals outdoors.
Located at the historic Sheppards Mill, Juniper Cottage guests can access a 3-acre rural haven with woodlands, streams, and even a small waterfall. Please note that due to the presence of streams, the cottage may not be suitable for young children. Benches are available for you to bask in the sun, forget about the pressures of daily life, and admire the stunning views.
Despite its peaceful location away from roads, Juniper Cottage is just a short stroll away from the village pub and community stores. You’ll also find a wonderful village cafe offering homemade cakes a mere 100 yards away. Dogs are welcomed in the pub (with some guests even bringing their two Great Danes!) and can enjoy real ales and food alongside their owners. Additionally, there are numerous other dog-friendly pubs in nearby villages, providing plenty of options for dining out.
The immediate vicinity of Juniper Cottage offers excellent walking opportunities, eliminating the need for a car. In fact, there are six public footpaths that branch out from the Mill and meander through the valley and woods. The Uley valley, renowned for its walks, is featured in many guides. From the hilltops, you can enjoy breathtaking views across the Severn valley to Wales and the Malvern Hills.
